Deeptha Gokul is a Staff Research Associate, where she supports development of iPSC-derived neural cell types to model neurodegenerative diseases. She brings extensive experience in molecular and cellular biology, gene therapy immunology, and assay development. Prior to joining UCSF, Deeptha worked at Biogen, contributing to innovative AAV gene therapy platforms and immunogenicity assessments in preclinical models. She holds a Master’s in Medical Biotechnology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Bachelor’s in Biotechnology from SASTRA University, India
